Former UFC Middleweight Champions to Settle Rivalry on July 15 in Brazil

MMA legends Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen will once again square off, this time in a boxing match scheduled for July 15 in Brazil. The announcement was made by Spaten Fight Night on Sunday through Globo.
This will be the third meeting between the two fighters, with the previous two taking place in the UFC. Silva defeated Sonnen in their first encounter at UFC 117 in 2011, defending his middleweight championship. Their rematch, which took place two years later at UFC 148, ended in a controversial no contest after Silva tested positive for steroids.
The boxing match will provide the opportunity for Silva and Sonnen to finally settle their rivalry. Both fighters have expressed excitement about the matchup, with Silva stating that he is looking forward to facing Sonnen in a different combat sport.
